Touch Judge Course Details:

There are often times during Senior league games that we ask teams to run touch because we are short Assistant Referees. This 2 hour course will introduce you to the roles and responsibilities of a touch judge. We encourage each team to send at least 2 players or coaches to this training so that you will have people with an understanding of what the referee needs from the touch judge.

This is not an assistant referee role, but can be considered a volunteer position on your Rugby Canada registration.

1. To register, please contact Rugby Manitoba or Charlene Bakke at marr@rugbymb.ca.

2. On your Rugby Canada registration, be sure to check the volunteer box, along with your player/coach registration.

3. Before the clinic, go the World Rugby Passport and complete the Introduction to Assistant Refereeing found here https://passport.world.rugby/officiating/introduction-to-assistant-refereeing/

4. This clinic is being offered at no cost to encourage all teams to have at least 2 members attend.
